Reading-based Jacob the Jewellers scooped the Independent Fine Jewellery Retailer of the Year Award, beating off strong competition from some of the top jewellers based around the UK.
Retailers in this category, which was sponsored by Curteis, had to be a destination jewellery boutique business with fewer than five stores, that excels in sales of fine jewellery priced at over £1,000.
The Independent Fine Jewellery Retailer of the Year category saw one of the tightest races, but in the end there could only be one winner, and in the final few days Jacobs the Jewellers stormed ahead to take home the title.
Jacobs the Jewellers has an unrivalled reputation in the jewellery trade, with companies being quick to commend the retailer for its products, service, and innovative way of doing business.
Jacobs the Jewellers is a prime example of a business being deeply rooted in the community.
The independent jeweller doesn’t just ‘talk the talk’, but truly gives back to Reading, the community it has been trading from for 70 years. As proof of this, Jacobs the Jewellers centred its anniversary celebrations on raising £70,000 for seventy years – a figure the jeweller was able to smash because staff and customers were more than happy to support a business that supports them.
