Leicestershire Police have shared a CCTV image of an alleged jewellery thief who targeted an independent retailer.

Goldust Jewellers in Hinckley, Leicestershire was the target of the unknown thief’s crime.

He entered the premises at around 10:30am on 7 July before asking to try on a bracelet.


The man then ran from the shop with five other bracelets, his loot totalling around £2,000.

It is reported that the thief got into a car at a nearby car park before driving away. His image can be viewed below:

PC Collis Tappin said: “We would like to hear from anyone with any information that could help us identify this man.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who may have seen this man in the area around the time of the incident.

“Or from anyone who may have captured this man or his vehicle on dash cam.”

Leicestershire Police are asking that anyone with information get in contact online, via its website, or by telephone.
