Prices slashed on diamonds, Pandora, wedding jewels and silver brands.

The post-Christmas sales are in full swing at many of the UK’s jewellery stores with retailers offering discounts on diamond jewels, engagement rings, silver brands and Pandora jewels.

Many of the multiples are running sales. Chisholm Hunter is offering discounts on many lines of jewellery with promotions running on its diamond jewellery, Thomas Sabo jewellery and Amore & Baci jewels. Beaverbrooks is running a sale on fine and fashion jewellery ranging from £10 for silver hoops reduced from £15 to £4,750 for an 18ct white gold and diamond ring, reduced from £5,750. Fraser Hart is running a sale on both branded silver jewellery and charms as well as diamond jewellery with free delivery on all orders placed before December 31.


Signet stores H Samuel and Ernest Jones are both holding sales. Signet is promoting prices slashed by 50% on engagement rings, Chamilia charms and an exclusive range of jewellery made from a mixture of silver and 9ct gold called Together. Ernest Jones is likewise running a half-price sale with jewels in the offer including diamond jewellery. It is also discounting wedding rings, bridal sets, Tresor Paris and a third off Chamilia jewellery.

Aurum has also got in on the festive discounting. Goldsmiths is running discounts on diamond jewellery, including solitaire rings, and branded jewels from Biba, Canadian Ice, Argent, Guess, Lovelinks, and Ti Sento. Mappin & Webb launched its sale on Boxing Day in stores only.

Steffans took advantage of Pandora’s new sale policy to offer discounts of 40% on its stock and advertised the promotion with a dedicated mail out on Boxing Day. Pandora jewels on sale include a selection of silver and 14ct gold charms, Murano glass beads, Macramé bracelets and silver earrings. John Greed, Joshua James, The Jewel Hut and Swag were among other retail jewellers also taking advantage of the chance to run a sale on Pandora jewellery.

Elsewhere Argent of London has slashed the price of silver cufflinks, gemstone jewellery and charms. Typical discounts are a faceted amethyst and 18ct gold pendant reduced from £168 to £62 and small pearl studs reduced to £14 from £24. Gilda’s Tryst is offering discounts of up to 70% on gemstone, silver and costume jewellery with prices in the sale starting at £10 for a silver bracelet, reduced from £30, to £159 for a rock crystal and silver lariat, which had an original RRP of £450. Tateossian is offering up to 30% off with a focus on its leather bracelets, cufflinks and tie bars for men and gemstone jewellery and leather bracelets for women.
