Pragnell has unveiled its new series of jewellery designs, the Cleopatra collection.
Paying tribute to one of history’s most iconic female figures, the new collection reflects her reputation for beauty, taste and power.
Pragnell’s designers explored different avenues for designing a contemporary chains, drawing inspiration from ‘Sha’Bi’ pattern of the Egyptian Pharaonic period.
During the design process, different gauges, textures, weights and stone setting options were trialled before landing on a yellow gold and diamond pattern.
The design team also drew inspiration from managing director Charlie Pragnell’s recent visit to Egypt to preview the Grand Egyptian Museum in Giza.
There, Pragnell got to see first-hand the role that jewellery played in society and the skill of craftsmen from ancient times.
Each piece in the collection was crafted in Pragnell workshops in the UK, and produced using polished recycled 18 carat yellow gold.
The collection features nine initial styles, including bracelets, rings and necklaces.
Items are available in diamond set pave links and full diamond set style variations, as well as in understated yellow gold links.
