Names of our 100 industry luminaries revealed at glittering party.
The fifth Professional Jeweller Hot 100 was revealed at a spectacular jewellery industry party at Freemasons’ Hall, London, on September 1, with more than 800 guests celebrating the work of 100 key movers and shakers from the UK jewellery industry.
The glittering event was held in association with headline partner Pandora, principal partner The Company of Master Jewellers and Diamond Partner International Jewellery London (IJL).
The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is an annual celebration of 100 impressive individuals from the UK jewellery industry that have showcased innovation, business development and design skills over the past 12 months. The 100 are listed under five categories – Trendsetters, Retail Stars, Business Big Shots, Trailblazers and NexGems; the latter dedicated to new jewellery design talent based in the UK.
Each year, the Hot 100 list is kept entirely secret until the reveal party; with each chosen person photographed and interviewed for a luxury commemorative book released on the night.
The Hot 100 2014 was hosted by Professional Jeweller editor Kathryn Bishop and The Company of Master Jewellers’ chief executive Willie Hamilton, who congratulated this year’s Hot 100 within the illuminated Art Deco surrounds of the Freemasons’ Hall Grand Temple. The event saw guests cheer and applaud their peers, colleagues and industry friends, who were revealed one-by-one in a special video reel.
Professional Jeweller editor Kathryn Bishop said: "The Hot 100 has become the UK jewellery industry’s leading event – where the most hard-working, innovative and cutting-edge talents in our industry are recognised for their hard work.
"This year’s event was a double celebration as we reached the fifth anniversary of the Professional Jeweller Hot 100, and hosted our largest party to date, thanks to our partners Pandora, The Company of Master Jewellers and IJL.
"Those individuals that make the Hot 100 list each year should be extremely proud of their place within the Hot 100. We received hundreds of nominations this year but these are our finest examples of what it means to a business person, leading designer and innovator in the UK jewellery industry today. Congratulations to all of those that have made the Hot 100 2014 so special."
