Professional Jeweller combines Awards with sizzling summer barbecue

Roof Gardens Barbecue

Professional Jeweller will hold its first Awards on September 4 at Kensington Roof Gardens, the most exclusive indoor/outdoor event space in Central London.

The choice of the Roof Gardens allows Professional Jeweller to maintain the informal freshness of its Hot 100 parties with the importance of a highly respectable awards ceremony.

“This is a thoroughly modern awards party where we set out with two objectives: first, we want people to come together and enjoy themselves. The Roof Gardens means everybody can mix and mingle with the cream of the jewellery industry after a busy day at IJL, and we’ll make sure everybody is refreshed and refuelled with a delicious three-course barbecue meal and unlimited drinks all night.

“The second objective is to establish an important set of awards that are trusted and respected by the industry,” explains Rob Corder, managing director of Professional Jeweller’s parent company Promedia.

The Awards nomination process is already underway, with companies invited to propose businesses they most admire in 16 awards categories. The editorial team of Professional Jeweller will draw up a list of finalists, and these will then be voted on in an anonymous online poll of senior industry executives and business owners.

Industry professionals are being asked to submit nominations to editor Stacey Hailes ( Please include the name of your nomination, the category for your nomination and a reason why you are nominating the category for this award.

Holding a fun and informal awards night at the Roof Gardens also means ticket prices can be kept affordable at just £185+VAT for individual tickets. This includes unlimited house beverages, the three-course barbecue meal, and access to the Professional Jeweller Awards After Party.
