International Jewellery London will host this year’s much-anticipated Professional Jeweller Shop Floor Stars award ceremony, in recognition of the hard work, dedication and passion of retail and customer service staff around the country.

This year’s finalists, special award winners and overall Shop Floor Star 2015 will be unveiled on the Catwalk at 4pm on Sunday 6 September, followed by IJL’s Late Night Shopping evening and champagne reception.

Following the success of the debut Shop Floor Stars initiative in 2014, this year saw a huge rise in the number of nominations from business owners and managers looking to get their team members recognised. As a result, the number of recognised award winners has increased this year, and we look forward to showcasing their talents on the stage at IJL.

Professional Jeweller editor Sarah Louise Jordan says: “International Jewellery London is the perfect place to host the second annual Shop Floor Stars award ceremony, and it also gives plenty of deserving and hard-working individuals the chance to see the show for themselves and see the brand’s they sell in a new light. The presentation will kick off at 4pm, ahead of IJL’s Late Night Shopping networking evening, giving each finalist, special award winner and the overall winner the chance to meet their peers, brand managers, sales executives and business owners in an informal environment. We look forward to seeing you there.”

IJL event director Sam Willoughby commented: “I’ve heard many a retailer comment – you can’t buy loyalty, but you can earn it! After 60 years in the industry this year, it‘s definitely something we pride ourselves on here at IJL. I think it’s fantastic that the Professional Jeweller’s Shop Floor Stars campaign has returned for the second year to recognize the high performers in the world of retail and celebrate their dedication and passion to the industry. IJL are proud to continue to support this initiative and look forward to meeting the winners at IJL this year.”

The 2014 edition of Shop Floor Stars saw a number of individuals take home prizes, including Hayley Neale of R.L. Austen who was named Best Mentor, and Pat Wright of Whittles Jewellers who was praised for her 52 years of loyalty with the Most Dedicated Service accolade. Most Brand Savvy went to Layla Simpson and Danny Bond of Peter Jackson the Jeweller, and Best Innovator was presented to Tracey Cole of Allum & Sidaway for her creative Golden Ticket and incentive schemes.

But it was Gemma Clive of Chichester-based retailer Pressleys who was named Professional Jeweller’s Shop Floor Star 2014, after industry insiders from Boodles, Leoro, Hans D. Krieger and Jeremy France highlighted her knowledgeable, patient and passionate sales techniques.
