The June 2016 edition of Professional Jeweller is now available to read online, featuring a stylish cover image from fashion brand lolaandgrace’s latest campaign.

Given the recent collapse of national shopping institution BHS, this jam-packed issue focuses on way in which the industry can move forward with the times in order to meet changing customer demands.

With this in mind, on p.42 we discuss with experts how the industry has been utilising modern technology for business advancements, and on p.26 Swarovski managing director Hayley Quinn explains the motivation behind lolaandgrace’s new digital marketing technique.

Elsewhere, the editorial team visited to Leicester for the second installment of #PJCityScapes. Following the recent Premiership win, we ask jewellers whether this has impacted sales, as well as discussing the trials and tribulations for businesses in the local area.

The PJ team also popped to Birmingham to meet Deakin & Francis directors Henry and James Deakin to hear about the company’s exciting 230th anniversary celebration plans. Read all about these on p.20.

We’ve also spent time analysing the gold market this month, asking retailers, suppliers and brands how the precious metal has been selling, what consumer trends they have noticed and if they have any predictions for the foreseeable future of gold.

For our showcase this month we dived into the deep blue sea with Tiffany & Co (p.45), while for our trend piece we travelled to a galaxy far, far away with brands such as Messika, Links of London and Sif Jakobs (p.46).

We hope you enjoy!
