The May 2016 edition of Professional Jeweller is now available to read online, featuring a striking cover image from Dollie Jewellery’s fresh and playful rebrand.
This month’s issue launches Professional Jeweller Cityscapes, a brand new series which will see team PJ on the road visiting a new city each month to talk to local jewellers, designers and retail experts.
With a focus on the successes experienced and the challenges faced at a local level, our aim is to build up a nation-wide profile of the jewellery trade, hopefully bringing retailers closer together and highlighting the common issues faced in the industry. To set the series off we headed to Canterbury, where we received a very warm welcome. Turn to p. 34 to read all about our findings.
Elsewhere, editor Naida Redgrave popped over to Chalfen of Londons HQ to take part in its recently established diamond training course. Find out why managing director Howard Levine believes that diamond training is key to the jewellery industry’s future on p.28.
We’ve also spoken to the founder of our cover brand this month to find out about Dollie Jewellery’s humble beginnings and its new venture with the Company of Master Jewellers distribution business (p.30) and caught up with the Hot Diamonds Group head of commerce Adryan Cresswell to hear about the company’s new brand (p.24).
Finally, whether you’re passionate for politics or tired of the topic, we’ve put together a feature to help you decide on next month’s referendum (p.20).
