The Watches of Switzerland Group has been re-certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council for sustainability, ethics, human rights and social and environmental values.
WoSG has been a member of RJC since 2011, whose code of practice is aligned with 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
“I am delighted that we have achieved re-certification with the Responsible Jewellery Council and am proud that we have successfully maintained our ongoing commitment to being a responsible luxury retailer,” said WoSG CEO Brian Duffy.
“We have been an active member of the RJC since 2011 and continue to encourage our suppliers and partners to also join the Council.
“Moving forward, we will continue striving to enhance sustainability best practices in collaboration with our supply chain and working closely with the Responsible Jewellery Council.”
Iris Van Der Veken, executive director of the Responsible Jewellery Council, added: “Re-certification represents an important milestone in Watches of Switzerland’s sustainability journey.
“Our Code of Practices is based on a roadmap of continuous improvement in partnership with all the stakeholders in the value chain, and we are grateful for Watches of Switzerland’s leadership and commitment to the RJC.
“The efforts towards achieving certification support the ambitious agenda of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.”
