Retail Business and Technology Expo opens today


The 2016 Retail Business Technology Expo (RBTE) opens its doors today, featuring 190 speakers and more than 550 solution providers to its 16,000 visitors. 

Aimed at the retail and hospitality industries, it will provide a one-stop-shop for tools, solutions and advice on how to best run businesses. Attendees can look forward to seeing a comprehensive range of industry-specific technology solutions alongside a free interactive education programme, incorporating seminars and workshops, plus a host of networking opportunities.

At this year’s event, RBTE will offer five theatres, including a new ecommerce quarter – an area that will feature 50 stands devoted exclusively to e-commerce vendors.

Speakers include Tim Mason, former chief executive of Bonmarche and Tesco US; Terry Duddy, non-executive director of Debenhams; David Wild, chief executive at Domino’s Pizza; and Simon Roberts, executive vice president of Walgreens Boots Alliance, and president of Boots. There will also be presentations from House of Fraser, Argos,, Arnotts, Auchan, eBay, Adidas,, The Entertainer, Shop Direct, Debenhams, Tesco, Spar, Shell and Wagamama.
