Michael Spiers dominates the luxury jewellery market in the south west, with clients including Lord Alan Sugar, who publicly commends the company on social media.

Founded over 60 years ago by the late Michael Spiers, the jewellery business has moved along the south west and now trades from four successful showrooms in Plymouth, Truro, Exeter, and Taunton.

Michael’s son, Adam Spiers, joined the firm in 1997, just a couple of years before his father sadly lost his battle with cancer. Now he runs the business with several other directors to ensure his father’s legacy lives on.

Devon and Cornwall have a combined population of just over 1.6 million, and welcome around half a million tourists each year. It is a stomping ground that Michael Spiers knows, loves and profits from, even in today’s tough retail environment.

During the 12 months ending 31 March 2018 the family jeweller increased sales by 10.5% to £11.5m, a result Adam Spiers says the directors were “satisfied” with.

Michael Spiers Jewellers has an unrivalled reputation in the areas it trades, with sales staff making consumers feel like part of the family.

All the boutiques offer high quality jewellery, in a luxurious environment, with the business investing in all areas that will lift the customer experience.

While it does stock the nation’s top watch brands, it prides itself on being a jeweller first.
