The first ever Midsummer Celebration, a fundraising party for the retailTRUST has made more than £90,000 for the charity.

RetailTRUST is dedicated to helping to improve the lives and careers of people working in the retail industry.

Its Midsummer party, which was formerly known as the Great Northern Ball, took place in Manchester Cathedral and was attended by over 250 people.

Sponsored by Pets at Home, Kenneth Green Associates and Squire Patton Boggs, the purpose of the evening was to raise vital funds for the charity, as well as raising awareness of the retailTRUST and its key programmes: the youth training scheme retailRIGHT, and the retailCURe credit union, both lauded by chief executive Richard Boland in his speech (pictured above).

“We have enjoyed a great night at Manchester Cathedral, raising over £90,000 for the retailTRUST. The venue is absolutely stunning, and the northern retail sector should be very proud of its generosity and support this evening. We’d like to express many thanks to all those involved in this wonderful Celebration,” said Mr Boland.
