After being with Hockley Mint since she was just a teenager, Sarah Rahaman has been managing the design department for the last 12 months and has been the driving force behind a significant turnaround for the British manufacturing firm.
With a new strengthened CAD team in place, and by managing the admin team’s responsibilities, Rahaman has been able to grow the department’s sales during her time in charge.
Moreover, she’s also been able to reduce bespoke design lead times for clients and ensure all customer requirements are met.
The amount of feedback from happy customers is as high as ever for the manufacturer’s bespoke design team, and this has really put the department in a great position for growth going forward.
Being able to allow jewellers and retailers the means to easily design and have their own bespoke items produced is one of the strengths of Hockley Mint, and the flexibility needed to produce all of the requests no matter how unusual isn’t something that should be taken for granted.
Bespoke has never been more important for retailers trading on the British High Street and as such, the work this department does at Hockley Mint’s headquarters in Birmingham should not be underestimated.
Customers and clients may never actually meet the faces behind the final product they receive, which is why Sarah Rahaman is being lifted up as a rising star in the Professional Jeweller Power List.
