Burley to focus on retail and e-commerce aspects of ethical business.

CRED Jewellery has announced the appointment of a new director for retail and e-commerce, Sabrina Burley.

Burley is an exsting CRED staff member, having joined the ethical jewellery retailer and wholesaler in 2010. To date she has worked as sales manager for the company.

In her new role Burley will be responsible for all sales, managing CRED’s retail outlet and London studio, production and e-commerce. The company’s managing director Alan Frampton will focus on the wholesale of Fairtrade and Fairmined certified gold and silver through CRED.

Fampton said: "Since joining the company as sales manager in 2010, Sabrina has been instrumental in helping get CRED to the position we are in and, whilst the business is small today, this move is strategic for the future.”

Its former director Christian Cheeseman left the company some time ago, under circumstances yet to be clarified.

CRED is said to have "significantly focused" its various departments last year, redefining communication and streamlining its production and supply base, its retail offering and administration.

CRED says it will use 2013 to "continue to make developments where we see realistic opportunities", with the aim of making it a "defining year" for the company.
