2011 website investment delivers return as browsers become buyers.
John Greed Jewellers has increased e-tail sale conversion rates by 500% thanks to the new e-commerce website that it launched in September.
The Lincoln jeweller installed a cloud on-demand e-commerce model from Venda less than six months ago and has since experienced a huge uplift the number of browsers that it is converting to buyers.
New features on the John Greed website include guided navigation, customised check-out and increased functionality. The new system also allows the jewellery retailer to run promotions for the first time, such as its post-festive 50%-off sale, and also alerts the business to low stock levels.
John Greed chief executive Richard Finch said: “Historically, we have been renowned as one of the leading stockists of branded jewellery, but we wanted to make sure our customers understood that we were much more than this. We turned to our very active Facebook community for inspiration and decided to update our existing ecommerce site with the very latest technology.”
