Designer partners with Almar Sales in bid to become lifestyle brand.
New York designer Sam Edelman is set to extend his eponymous brand’s portfolio with the launch of his first jewellery collection.
The footwear and accessory designer has joined forces with the designer jewellery division of US wholesale company Almar Sales to create the range, set to launch in departments stores and online in September with price points upwards of £29.
The collection will boast more than 120 designs including necklaces, bracelets, earrings and rings, with dark metal and gold tone finishes.
Mara Perlmutter, president of Almar Sales designer jewellery division, said: "As president of the newly formed designer jewellery division of Almar Sales, Sam Edelman was my first choice to launch this new venture.
"The Sam Edelman brand offers a unique and understandable global fashion vision and was a natural fit to expand his classic chic and cutting edge aesthetic into an iconic fashion jewellery collection.”
The Sam Edelman brand launched its first flagship store in New York’s SoHo last year, alongside an outerwear and handbag collection. The move into jewellery comes as Edelmen aims to create a complete lifestyle brand.
He said: “We’ve experienced a lot of exciting growth over the last 12 months. Now, with the addition of a jewellery line, we can continue our evolution into a complete lifestyle brand.
"My ultimate goal is to see our Sam Girl dressed head to toe in our designs. The jewellery collection the next natural extension into making that a reality.”
