Designer creates necklaces and faceted packaging for cosmetics brand.

Shaun Leane, founder of the eponymous jewellery brand, has collaborated with beauty and cosmetics company Clé de Peau Beauté to create a bespoke diamond neckpiece and faceted packaging for the brand.

The two companies have worked together to create the diamond-set Reflection necklace, with Leane taking inspiration from the shapes and facets of stones to create the gold neckpiece, which is set with 1,355 diamonds.


The Reflections necklace was unveiled at a launch party in New York, hosted by actress Amanda Seyfried, who is also the face of Clé de Peau Beauté. The necklace will now be on permanent display at Espace Clé de Peau Beauté of Shiseido, in Tokyo’s luxurious Ginza district.

Leane said of the project: “When we first designed the compact, our thought was to craft a piece which was both tactile and desirable.

“In terms of its aesthetic, we wanted the design to be as though it was a jewel with a multitude of facets; to be chic, sophisticated, whilst exuding an element of glamour and fun, just like the lady who will be inspired by it.”

The brand, which is part of the Shiseido Group, is a premium cosmetics company, well-known in the U.S. and South-east Asia. It also works to be both sustainable and socially and environmentally conscious.

Leane was specially selected to design Clé de Peau Beauté new Luminizing compact for 2012, with a choice of a bronzer or highlighting shimmer housed within an iridescent, faceted plastic case.

Shaun Leane is the first creative house to have collaborated with the brand.
