British jewellery designer, Shaun Leane, has won Best International Jewellery Designer at the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards which took place September 4 2015 in Vicenza, Italy.

The Awards are dedicated to honouring excellence in international jewellery.

This year sees the third year of the Andrea Palladio International Jewellery Awards at the Fiera di Vicenza, which examines all aspects of the industry including design, production, distribution, retail and communication. The Awards are a point of reference for the premium jewellery sector and a means to create synergies and systems among the leading lights within the industry.


Previous Andrea Palladio Jewellery Award winners include Cartier, Van Cleef & Arpels and Faberge.

Shaun Leane was chosen for Best International Jewellery Designer, an honour which reflects his work at the forefront of British jewellery design for over a decade.

Fusing innovation with exquisite craftsmanship, the House is known for a timeless elegance that epitomises modern romance. Shaun Leane has collaborated with Boucheron, Alexander McQueen, Asprey, De Beers, Sam Taylor-Wood and Daphne Guinness, amongst others, and is fast becoming known as one of the world’s pre-eminent jewellery houses.

Winners were selected by a jury panel comprising of Claire Phillips, curator at the V&A; Silvanna Annichiarico, director of the Triennale Design Museum; Alba Cappellieri, Jewellery Design professor at Milan Polytechnic and Franco Cologni, president of Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte.

Shaun Leane says: “We are so thrilled to receive the award for Best International Jewellery Designer, and feel it is a true honour for our hard work to be recognised by such a prestigious organisation as the Fieri di Vicenza.

“Winning something like this has given us that extra confidence and determination as a house that enables us to look to the future and strive to keep building on this success.”
