The brand is said to have fought off "impressive competition" to win the prize, and was praised for its Contra Mundum diamond-set glove, created in collaboration with artist Daphne Guinness. Readers of Harper’s Bazaar Jewelry China voted it one of their favourite designs of the year.

The votes came from readers and a select handful of influential figures in the realms of jewellery design, art and fashion, including company chief executives and presidents of gem and jewellery trade associations.

Shaun Leane said of the award: "It means so much to myself and my team for our work to be recognised and appreciated by such as prestigious publication at Harper’s Bazaar Jewelry.

"Having entered the Chinese market just over a year ago it is a tremendous triumph with such a title."
