Danish jewellery brand Sif Jakobs Jewellery has appointed a new director for the UK & Ireland as the business resumes growth plans for the UK.
Today, Sif Jakobs Jewellery has announced Mark Riddle as its director for the UK & Ireland. In this role, which will start on June 1, Riddle will oversee the sales strategy for this region.
With a new director at the helm, and a significant capital investment, the brand says its ready to recommence with its plans to further market share in the UK.
Sif Jakobs Jewellery chief executive officer, Søren Dahl, reveals: “With this recent change management in our UK organisation as well as a significant capital injection from our Investor Relations, we will now resume our growth plans for the UK with full force.
“As the UK is one of our top priority markets, together with Germany, and is staged to make growth we will certainly continue investing in the brand to secure further market share in the UK.”
Mark Riddle has been a sales agent for the award-winning brand since 2014 and has more than 20 years’ experience in the jewellery industry.
On joining the brand as a permanent, full-time employee, he remarks: “After 10 years of running a portfolio of silver jewellery and luxury gift brands as an agent, I am looking forward to the singular focus of working with Sif Jakobs Jewellery. The market has moved on substantially in the past 12 months and many progressive bricks-and-mortar retailers prefer access to a supplier principal firmly rooted in the UK and Ireland markets.
“A lot is spoken of ‘partnerships’ between suppliers and retailers but increasingly we need to involve the end customer in a three-way relationship. This mean a holistic management process that travels from the initial sell-in through to the point of sale, supported by social media and the stockist’s on-line brand presence. I am ready to help the field sales team deliver this process and to work on substantially developing distribution of the Sif Jakobs Jewellery brand.”
Riddle will be mainting his presence in the east / south east of England at independent level to make sure his feet remain firmly on the ground.
Elsewhere, Sif Jakobs Jewellery has employed Angela Lee as account manager for the South West of the UK and Wales.
Lee has many years’ experience working for top jewellery brands including Swarovski.
