London event to take place on June 25 focused on design inspiration.
The second London Jewellery Meetup is set to take place on June 25 with networking opportunities for designers, retailers and brands and a talk hosted by jewellery designer Sima Vaziry.
Vaziry will talk on the subject of Gaining Inspirations for Your Designs, sharing her story as a graphic designer-turned-jeweller and how her life experiences have impacted her style as a jeweller.
Vaziry is inspired by her Persian and Afghan heritage and her work has been recognised by the British Museum for whom she has created commercial jewellery collections. She presently works from a studio in Clerkenwell, close to Hatton Garden, and continues to make collections for private clients and the British Museum. She also teaches at London Jewellery School and hosts regular talks around London.
Those interested in attending the next London Jewellery Meetup networking event can register for free online, via the Meetup webpage. The evening will take place downstairs at the Sir Christopher Hatton on June 25, from 18.30pm.
The first Meetup took place in May welcoming guest speaker Shaun Leane and host of jewellery students and designers including Natasha-Leith Smith of Allumer, Rachel Entwistle, Tina Lilienthal, Simon Ogilvie-Harris of Chavin, Marisa Hordern of Missoma and Natasha Faith and Semhal Zemikael of La Diosa.
