Lifestyle Danish brand Skagen has collaborated with British designer Miranda Watkins to create a limited-edition capsule jewellery collection.

The initial Skagen + Miranda Watkins collection contains a pendant necklace, bracelet and earring set. Each piece of polished stainless steel jewellery is geometric in shape, blending sharp lines and soft curves for a look that is simple and understated. The debut range launches this month in Skagen retail stores and online at

Skagen previously featured Watkins’ home products as part of its Inspired Finds initiative, a celebration of great design from around the world, and approached Watkins about working together.

“As jewellery has become an increasingly important part of our lifestyle identity, we loved the idea of collaborating on a collection with a like-minded designer who shares our simple, modern aesthetic,” says Anne Cashill, senior vice president of Skagen. “Miranda was the perfect partner for such an endeavor.”

Watkins is known for her artistic, inventive approach to design. Previously the British designer has partnered with Calvin Klein, Burberry and Barneys New York.

Watkins adds: “The beauty of this project was that I was given free rein to offer up a number of concepts. As a designer who responds creatively and directly to materials and techniques, the collection was designed to suit the technical capabilities and precision engineering of Skagen’s Swiss watch-making facility while creating a sensual collection with tactile qualities and relaxed elegance, in keeping with Skagen’s core values.”

The initial three-piece collection will be followed by a premium collection available from September 2016 exclusively in Skagen retail stores
