Smash and grab at Crewe jewellers

Thief wearing fluorescent jacket robs Valemi Jewellery of Rolexes.

A thief, wearing a balaclava and fluorescent jacket broke into Valemi Jewellery and stole a quantity of Rolex watches on Tuesday.

The burglary took place at 9.43am in the morning on Earle Street in Crewe. It is believed that the offender used a hammer to break the window.

The thief reached inside the display to steal a quantity of Rolex watches, before running off down the hill towards the theatre. It is thought that he was joined by a second man during his escape, to whom he may have passed some of the stolen pieces.

Police are still seeking leads towards locating the offender.
