Norwegian brand pulled from UK as 410 Retail Ltd hits buffers.

The company set up to distribute Norwegian jewellery brand SO-B in the UK has been liquidated and the brand has been pulled out of its UK stockists.

410 Retail Ltd had been set up to sell and distribute the SO-B brand in the UK but has now been liquidated effective June 20.
Andrew James Nichols and John William Butler of Redman Nichols Butler have been appointed joint liquidators of the company for the purpose of the voluntary winding up.

410 Retail Ltd was liquidated with £107,265 of debts, according to papers filed at Companies House. Major creditors include Bailey Book Keeping, DJB Services, Charlotte Road, Redwall and T&A Greenfield.

SO-B is a fashion jewellery brand founded by Norwegian jewellery designer Borre Olsen and his business partner Tommy Solhaug and was introduced into the UK market last year by 410 Retail Ltd.

Alan Smith had been working with the brand through 410 Retail Ltd and said that in the short space of time in the market it had enjoyed some successes such as securing department store chain House of Fraser as a stockist. The brand was sold at the chain’s stores in Belfast, London, Lakeside, Bristol, Cardiff, Edinburgh and the Metro Centre, as well fashion retailer Pilot in Leicester.

Smith confirmed that the brand has now been pulled from all UK retail outlets.
