Start-up Julia Cameron wins private equity support

DVK helps to launch designer’s debut jewellery collection.

Start-up jeweller Julia Cameron has won support from boutique private equity firm DVK, launching her debut jewellery collection at a party at 30 St Mary Axe, aka the Gherkin.

DVK, founded by entrepreneur Deepak Kuntawala, has chosen to work with Cameron as part of his ongoing pledge to support and nurture British talent and entrepreneurs.

The launch of Julia Cameron’s collection marked DVK’s first foray into luxury products. Cameron used the event to launch her first collection, Pre-Raphaelite Utopia, said to take inspiration Pre-Raphaelite-era women. The collection also features a collection of decorative headpieces and is currently sold through Wolf & Badger and Adorn til Dusk.

Kuntawala said of his work with Cameron: “New and emerging business ventures like Julia Cameron are essential for the longevity and continued sustenance of the British, and indeed, world economies. We at DVK are thrilled to be supporting Julia as she embarks further on her entrepreneurial voyage.
