close to promote online jewellery in 3D

Steffans aims to stay one step ahead of online retail competitors.

Northampton jeweller Steffans plans to stay one step ahead of an increasingly competitive crowd of online retailers with the addition of 3D product presentations on in the run up to Christmas.

Owner Steff Suter told Professional Jeweller that he intends to launch a promotion that distributes Steffans-branded 3D glasses to the public that will allow them to look at jewellery “popping out of the screen at them.”

Advertisement revenue topped £750,000 in the past 12 months, up 250 percent year-on-year, Suter disclosed.

The web site now accounts for around 20 percent of turnover, he added.

“I want to be the best jewellery web site in the UK. I think we are already in the top 10,” he concluded.
