STORE ENVY: Dower & Hall, Spitalfields

Hand-made felt lampshades add a bespoke touch to the store’s interior.

Dower & Hall recently gave its east London store a brand new luxury makeover, complete with a softer colour palette with touches of turtle dove grey, chosen to contrast its bold, curved wall displays.

The store’s founders Dan Dower and Diane Hall brought in Scottish designer Katty Barac of One Foot Taller to create nine bespoke felt lampshades in the shape of lotus flowers.

Dower himself is also said to have got involved with the shop fit, which now includes a champagne fridge, flush portrait-like wall displays and space for clients to discuss bespoke designs or personalised engravings.
