Karen Ferreira scoops iPad Mini prize at Hot 100 party.

Guests raced their hearts out at the Professional Jeweller Hot 100 party in association wih The Company of Master Jewellers last night, flocking to Hot 100 Technology Partner Pursuit’s Scalextric track for their chance to win an iPad Mini.

With cars racing to a soundtrack of Fleetwood Mac, a winner was born when Swarovski PR Karen Ferreira made her race debut, coming first with a race time of under a minute.


Pursuit Software managing director Mike Burns said of the competition: "This year’s Scalextric racing was so hotly contested that I began to wonder if the jewellery industry is going to provide the next crop of new Formula One drivers! It was a close run thing, but Karen Ferreira, the overall winner with a time of under one minute, is a well-deserved recipient of the iPad Mini prize."

Ferreira, a first-time Scalextric racer, said she was pleased to have won: "What a great way to top off a fantastic evening. As a first timer I was surprised not to encounter tougher competition. I look forward to defending my title next year."

The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 party was held in association with The Company of Master Jewellers, Diamond Partner IJL and Gold Partners Tresor Paris and Bering Time. It took place at One Marylebone last night, revealing the Hot 100 2013 to an audience of 600 invite-only guests.
