Tateossian has announced the death of Ariel Thompson, its creative director and founder of sister brand Thompson.
The brand said Thompson passed suddenly on Friday 17 July from complications after an operation in Asuncion, Paraguay, his birthplace.
With a degree in advertising and marketing, Thompson started his own business in his home country.
After honing his design skills in Europe he joined Tateossian.
A statement from Tateossian said: “Ariel Thompson leaves behind a legacy of beautiful designs and colleagues whose hearts he touched.
“Thompson, the brand he co-founded, continues under the direction of Robert Tateossian and the Tateossian design team.”
Thompson is a brand under the Tateossian umbrella, founded in 2008 with the intention of bringing modern elements, unusual materials and a sense of fun to classic accessories for an affordable price.
