Tendence creates watches using Japanese artists

Japanese art studio headed by Kazuto Titanda designs watch line.

Swiss fashion watch brand Tendence has created a range of crystal-decorated watches in collaboration with Japanese artist Kazuto Titanda.

Tokyo-based Nitanda and her team’s art has been developed as a style used to decorate objects that are usually sold to Japanese artists and collectors.

The style is described as “lush, sexy, glamorous … really pretentious kitsch” by the artist, and is applied by hand to each watch with each artist given a free reign to their creativity.

The range, known as the Tendence Crystal Art line will be revealed for the first time at BaselWorld in March.
