The Insurance Age UK Broker Awards recognises companies, employees and teams that “truly understand their customers and the market”.

Staff from TH March, based in Yelverton, have been announced as finalists in the Claims Team category after being recognised for their high professional standards and empathy shown to clients.

Established in 1887, TH March is renowned for its expertise in jewellery and watch insurance and as the premier broker to the jewellery trade.

The company said it was immensely proud of its claims team who help customers when precious items have been lost, damaged or stolen.

Head of customer experience, Nat Brown, said: “The claims team are all highly motivated, skilled individuals with high customer service standards.

“They provide a genuinely first-class, bespoke service and each client is treated with the utmost respect and empathy during what can be a traumatic time in their life.”

The judging panel for the UK Broker Awards was reportedly impressed by testimonials from TH March customers.

Clients described how the small team of three full-time and one part-time member of staff helped them process claims for a range of items, including a lost engagement ring, missing diamond, valuable earrings and a “highly treasured” watch.

TH March sales director Simon Dawe said putting clients’ best interests first was at the heart of the firm’s ethos.

“We pride ourselves on our claims service and this is embedded within the culture at TH March,” he said.

“Our team brings together years of experience, skills and technical knowledge and we are really proud to see them shortlisted for such an important award.

“The fact that we’ve got this far is already a major achievement and we look forward to the final result later this year.”
