Thieves target Oxford workshop and take ‘large quantity of jewellery’

Thames Valley Police is appealing for information and witnesses following the robbery of an Oxford jewellery workshop.

Between 6pm on Monday 23 August and 6am the following morning multiple thieves broke into the property in the city’s Summertown area.

A post on the Thames Valley Police website suggested that the offenders jumped over a garden fence before forcing entry via a door to the workshop.

“A large quantity of jewellery was stolen,” Thames Valley Police added in an alert uploaded to its website by communications officer Emma Tarry. “Officers are urging anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious overnight on Monday to get in touch.”

There is no information so far on what jewellery was stolen or whether any witnesses have come forward since the crime took place.

Anyone with information or who witnessed the break-in can contact Thames Valley Police or Crimestoppers.
