Global jewellery brand Thomas Sabo has announced a new wholesale partnership with Irish jeweller, Weir & Sons.

Established in 1869 by Thomas Weir, Weir & Sons is one of Ireland’s best-loved jewellers, occupying a landmark building on Dublin’s Grafton Street, Ireland’s world-famous and most prestigious shopping street.

As popularity and demand for fashion pieces has grown, the store has evolved with it, culminating in the expansion of ‘The Fashion Room’.  As part of the expansion a new Thomas Sabo shop in shop has been installed with the brand’s signature black furniture concept, which is the first of its kind to be unveiled in Ireland.

The shop in shop includes enhanced lighting and display units as well as a state of the art engraving machine, offering complimentary engraving for the Thomas Sabo Love Bridge Collection, including the new Love Coin range.  The new counter will hold all of the latest AW16 collections including both the new watches.

Director of wholesale for UK & Ireland, Nick Callegari, comments: “We were delighted to be able to work with the Weirs team and install our very first new furniture concept in Ireland.

“To be presented in such an iconic, independent jewellery store in Dublin is very significant for the Thomas Sabo brand and we very much look forward to developing a strong and successful commercial relationship with the Weirs team.”

Through the brand’s partnership with Weir and Sons, Thomas Sabo clients can now access Weir and Sons expertise, through in-store buying events and the annual Weir and Sons magazine.

Marketing manager for Weir & Sons, Lucinda Andrews, adds: “We are delighted to have such a fashion forward, young and vibrant brand on board that fits so well with our current Fashion Room offering.”

The new Thomas Sabo shop in shop is located at ‘The Fashion Room’ on the lower floor of the Weir & Sons Grafton Street store.
