German jewellery and watch designer Thomas Sabo has confirmed that its store in Leicester’s Highcross shopping centre will not be reopening.
The brand told Leicestershire Live that the store’s closure at the end of March when lockdown began was in fact its final closure.
It also confirmed that the closure was unrelated to the coronavirus pandemic.
This may mean it is part of the company’s wider plan to close five UK stores, announced last year.
The news comes as watch brand TAG Heuer announced it would be moving into the same shopping centre, situated in Leicester’s city centre.
It will open a boutique next month in partnership with jeweller Beaverbrooks, which already boasts a store there.
