Fashion jewellery brand Thomas Sabo has unveiled its latest collection of jewellery – Dragon Nights.
The new high-end collection nods to the evolution of the Thomas Sabo customer, who is now investing in more sophisticated pieces.
As such, Dragon Nights covers a higher variety of price points, including a Chinese dragon pendant which retails at £1,198. The hero piece takes 20 hours to be handcrafted, and has already proved to be a big hit for the brand since its launch earlier this month.
Featuring feathered dragon heads and intertwined ornaments, the high-end range shows the affinity of the international jewellery with Far Eastern mythology.
The dragon as a sign of happiness, and the shou sign of the great blessing as a symbol of long life are highly symbolic key pieces within the range.
Every design of the handcrafted collection has been crafted in sterling silver, partly with 18ct rose-gold plating, and provides a special significance thanks to the colour intensity of the artistic stone embellishment and the enamel inlay work, which has been added to each piece using traditional techniques.
Thomas Sabo creative director, Susanne Kölbli, says of the collection: “In our Dragon Nights collection, the frisson between the historical symbols of Asia and the very urban, contemporary implementation of modern design, erupts into a glamour that celebrates the current revival of culture celebrating jewellery.”
