Jewellery brand Tiffany & Co has announced its decision to begin selling a collection of NFT jewellery.

NFTs (or non-fungible tokens) are unique digital pieces of art that can be purchased.

Now, Tiffany’s first project involving NFTs is set to debut this week.

A limited run of 250 NFT pendants will be available from Friday (5 September), in collaboration with CryptoPunks.

CryptoPunks is an NFT collection launched in 2017 on the Ethereum blockchain. Each of the 20,000 CryptoPunks NFTs depicts a unique 8-bit-style character.

Holders of CryptoPunks NFTs will be able to claim one of 250 passes that will allow them to mint their NFT as a Tiffany pendant.

They will also get a new NFT depicting the piece of jewellery they have bought.
