Tiffany & Co. has unveils its fall 2016 advertising campaign celebrating the company’s timeless designs with a selective celebrity cast.
The Legendary Style campaign presents an array of portraits with a diverse selection of well-known females wearing Tiffany jewellery. The line up includes Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, actress Elle Fanning, maternal health advocate and model Christy Turlington Burns and model Natalie Westling. The images were photographer by David Sims.
For the new campaign Tiffany & Co collaborated with fashion visionary Grace Coddington. This is her first‐ever brand advertising campaign since becoming creative director-at‐large for American Vogue.
“Tiffany—and its famed Blue Box—has always held special meaning for me,” comments Coddington, who had a hand in selecting the talent. “To me this is not just an ad campaign, but an opportunity to portray a legendary house of luxury through modern portraits of uniquely talented subjects.”
The tagline—Some Style is Legendary—has been chosen for the campaign to capture the timeless appeal of Tiffany’s jewellery, which has been worn by women for over 180 years to express individual personalities.
Mirroring a print campaign is a cinematic black and white video series also directed by Sims, where each woman shares her interpretation of legendary style.
Chosen for being true originals, each celebrity can be seen wearing iconic Tiffany designs in the new campaign that reflect both their style and identity. From Nyong’o wearing the Tiffany T bracelet to symbolise strength and vibrancy, to Fanning wearing the Tiffany Keys to represent young dreams, the campaign highlights the mass appeal of Tiffany.
“For generations, Tiffany has defined the true meaning of legendary style. For our latest campaign, we set out to find the best creative talents both behind and in front of the camera, to present our iconic collections,” says Tiffany & Co chief brand officer Caroline Naggiar. “Who better than Grace Coddington, a style legend in her own right, to serve as our creative partner.”
The campaign also unveils Tiffany & Co’s new AW16 collection.
