Tissot welcomes new UK brand ambassador


20-year-old Moto2 racer Bradley Smith honoured to be face of brand.

Swiss watch brand Tissot has announced the new face of its UK leg as Moto2 racer Bradley Smith.

Smith, from Oxfordshire, finished second in the 2009 125cc World Championship after winning two grand prix races. He finished fourth in last year’s championship where he then joined the France-based race team Tech 3.

As official timekeeper of the MotoGP World Championships, Tissot has worked alongside Smith for a number of years, keeping a keen eye on his career progress. This new appointment is said to reinforce the brand’s dedication and commitment to supporting upcoming athletes at the highest levels.

Smith said: “My involvement with Tissot is so important to me because they are such an iconic brand in international sport and especially in MotoGP as the official timekeeper. I am honoured to be part of their prestigious line up of sporting starts as the new UK brand ambassador.”

Smith added: “2011 has already turned into an exciting year, Moto2 has been a new experience and another challenge to rise to and already it’s been a great season with Tissot supporting me.”

Other Tissot Brand Ambassadors and former World Champions include fellow Moto racers Nicky Hayden and Thomas Luthi.
