New skeletonised timepiece created by former IWC designer.

ToyWatch has created the brand’s first automatic watch, a prototype of which is now available for retailers to view.

The automatic watch is presented as a fully skeletonised timepiece and is available on a black or white rubber strap and set with an ornate crown.

The launch of this product coincides with a strategy at the fashion watch brand to become more of a serious player in the watch market.

In January last year ToyWatch hired former IWC designer Bianca Zabolo as its new head designer and her designs are now beginning to filter through into the brand’s 2012 collections.

ToyWatch UK brand manager Gavin Foster said: “With our latest collection you can see a real watch coming through.
“In the past year ToyWatch has delivered product, it has never really launched products but that is what we are going to do now – we are going to launch new products.”
