UK jewellers will be able to easily capitalise on the current piercing trend as leading supplier, Inverness, enters the market.

Inverness, the maker of one of the world’s safest and gentlest ear piercing systems, has signed a UK distribution deal with Goodman Bros (Connoisseurs UK).

The partnership will launch formally at International Jewellery London in September, followed by the first of a series of free ear piercing training events to be held on September 30, 2019 at the NAJ’s Birmingham office.

“We are thrilled to be partnering with Goodman Bros. Their focus on service and training makes them an ideal fit for carrying our ear piercing program,” says president of Inverness, Michael Schwartz. “They have a proven record of providing superior training and marketing support, two factors that are key to launching a successful ear piercing program.”

Goodman Bros. will team up with buying groups and training associations to provide free Inverness ear piercing training to prospective customers.

“Inverness ear piercing fits perfectly with our strategy of getting jewellers back to service, all things jewellery and watches, and not to just focus on hallmark occasions and sales,” comments Goodman Bros director, Philip Goodman. “When we launched Connoisseurs UK 4 years ago, we made it our mission to help our customers create a retail environment that consumers will shop at regularly.”

Goodman director, Gavin Merrison, adds “Partnering with the world’s safest ear piercing brand allows us to empower our customers to increase their service offerings with a best-in-class, professional ear piercing experience. This is a service that can only be offered in person, so a well-marketed program will help increase footfall year-round.”

Piercing is a huge trend at the moment, with brands reporting a rise in sales when introducing this offer to their stores.

Accessorize has recently rolled out piercing offers in selected stores nationwide, with the manager of one store telling Professional Jeweller that the store has been booked solid since introducing it.
