A jewellery retailer in the United States is offering one couple the chance to travel around the country for free.

Announced ahead of Valentine’s Day, Robbins Brothers will pay for a couple to visit six US destinations over six months to scout and identify the perfect place to propose.

“We are always looking to elevate the engagement ring shopping experience we offer at Robbins Brothers, and a big part of that is the assistance we offer in planning the perfect proposal,” shares VP of marketing for Robbins Brothers, Chris Weakley. “We decided that the best way to gather some new, unique ideas would be to hire a couple to travel together in select cities over a six-month period to uncover the most unique and romantic proposal spots.”

The couple selected will have 48 hours in each location. This way, applicants can still work their normal jobs while fitting in the travel gig on their days off.

At each spot, the couple will have a couple of days to find and document the most romantic locations to pop the question. The couple will be given a budget for travel, accommodations, meals, and activities to help on their hunt as well.

The jeweller is on the hunt for a couple who can not only help with this research, and enjoy the ultimate customer experience, but can also document the trips on social media.

Therefore, applicants must already be active on social media and agree to write, film and take photos of the experience.

During a time where jewellers are competing against the travel industry, this is an innovative way to fuse consumer’s greatest passions together.
