Italian watch brand gives away timepieces to rock’n’roll stars.

Italian fashion watch brand Vabene has had a brush with high life this week, sponsoring the Q Awards, where its wristwatches were gifted to award winners, celebrities and stylists.

The colourful timepieces are described as “the watch to be seen in, a statement on the wrist and just fun to own.”

Alongside Giorgio Grimoldi, Vabene’s designer, its UK distributor Graham Woods also attended the evening, where the pair chatted with VIPs who were able to select a Vabene watch of their choice to take home.

Woods said: “About 99% of the people who walked through the door took away one of the watches, everyone except Noel Gallagher.”

“Jessie J took one, Siouxsie Sioux and her stylist loved the Turbulence watch and Wu Lyf thought they were the bees’ knees.”

The brand’s Turbulance and Sole styles proved to be most popular with celebrities and stylists on the night, who were also able to take home shoes, trainers and jackets.

Vabene is currently stocked in around 12 retailers in the UK, including Mallory’s of Bath and Laings of Glasgow. They are available in a range of designs and colourways with RRPs from £70 to £400 for a ceramic timepiece.
