The BBC has released the first full trailer for its upcoming All That Glitters, a new jewellery contest in a style similar to The Great British Bake Off.

Comedian Katherine Ryan was announced as host back in August last year.

Meanwhile, renowned jewellery designers Solange Azagury-Partridge and Shaun Leane will take on the roles of judge.

The show will pit eight contestants against one another to determine Britain’s most gifted jewellery maker across six episodes.

The BBC is yet to reveal an air date for the first episode of All That Glitters, but a previous trailer for a number of BBC shows put it in a spring 2021 slot.

The BBC revealed on its website: “The materials they are working with are some of the most valuable objects on earth: gold, silver, diamonds and sapphires.

“And they will be doing so in the real world, as their workshop is nestled in the heart of Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter, home to the highest concentration of jewellery businesses in Europe and some of the UK’s best diamond cutters, gold bullion dealers and gemmology labs.”
