A group of moped riders carried out a broad-daylight jewellery heist with sledge hammers on West London jewellery store yesterday morning.
The group went into the Boodles store in Basil Street, Knightsbridge at about 10:30 BST and smashed through counter displays, according to a report from the BBC.
Three of the six-strong gang raided the store whilst the remaining three sat outside in wait. Reports suggest the group used a smoke bomb during the robbery.
Mobile footage from a bystander shows the robbers’ getaway on their mopeds with one waving stolen goods as they make their way through the capital.
Scotland Yard says it is now investigating the daylight robbery, but no arrests have been made and no one has been injured.
