The 74th annual Tony Awards were held in New York on Sunday night, honouring the best of the best in the theatre world through the 2019-2020 season.

Among almost two dozen performances on the night was a rendition of ‘For Good’ from the musical Wicked by Kristin Chenoweth and Idina Menzel.

The pair played the two central characters, Galinda and Elphaba respectively, in the inaugural cast of the 2003 hit musical, a spin-off of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

In their rendition of the song ‘For Good’ last weekend, Elphaba actress Idina Menzel wore a set of Gismondi earrings in honour of her character’s green skin.

The £100,000 pair of earrings from the 1754-founded fine and high jewellery brand comprise 22.8cts of pear-cut emeralds and 3cts of white diamonds.

One commenter on the YouTube video noted “Krist[i]n paying homage to Galinda in her pink dress and Idina’s more subtle homage to Elphie with green nails and earrings”.
