Almost 100 people per day have registered to visit WatchPro Market since the event was announced earlier this month, demonstrating the demand among London’s watch lovers to get out to retail and social hot spots like Shoreditch to browse and shop.
WatchPro Market will, of course, also house Professional Jeweller’s ‘Jewellery Quarter’, which will give jewellery brands a unique platform to introduce their collections to consumers.
In partnership with sister title WatchPro and its WatchPro Market, the B2C event will take place Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 November in The Old Truman Brewery, a former industrial site in the heart of London’s achingly fashionable Shoreditch — the epicentre of the capital’s millennial hipster movement.
A maximum of 35 brands are taking part, with around one third of the market pitches selling before the concept had been officially announced.
The dedicated Jewellery Quarter area will give jewellery brands or suppliers an opportunity to showcase their offerings.
On the watch side, brands like WOLF, Christopher Ward, Michel Herbelin, Seiko and TRIBUS, the new official timekeeper for Liverpool Football Club, are already onboard.
“WatchPro Market is the opposite of the world’s oldest, elitist, shows. It is open to everybody, free to attend and aimed at younger people who are early in their journeys of discovery into the watchmaking and jewellery world,” said Professional Jeweller founder and managing editor Rob Corder.
“There are so many brands that sell direct to consumer via their websites and rarely get the chance to have their jewellery tried on by customers before they buy. These are great brands, and they deserve to be seen by as many people as possible.”
