New 300sq ft space set to rival larger retailers nationwide.

Sussex jewellery retailer W.E Clark & Son is in the midst of revamping its Lewes showroom, with the new 300sq ft space due to be unveiled this week with an in-store customer event and two days of special discount.

David Clark, managing director at W.E Clark, said the project had been a huge development for the family-run retailer, with the store itself dating back to 1919.

The revamped space includes a new extension, and the store will be split into key areas including a wedding area and a diamond room – which will also showcase the retailer’s in-house Clark Collection – as well as an outdoor balcony space that overlooks the local Harveys brewery.

The refit will also include luxe touches including a bespoke chandelier,  rich lilac coloured walls and bespoke walnut cabinets, made by Hallmark Shopfitting of Birmingham.

Work on the space began in July and will be completed this week, ahead of a launch party on November 22 set to feature bubbly, canapés and a guest harpist. The store will also offer two days of 15% discount.

David Clark said the new space will put W.E Clark & Sons on par with national retailers, and aims to make jewellery buying even more pleasurable.
