Waterford Jewellery has announced the appointment of Colette Gibbons as its new regional sales manager.

With over 15 years of experience in the UK jewellery industry, most recently with the CMJ group, Gibbons has acquired a wealth of market knowledge and sales expertise.

In her new role, Gibbons will be visiting current Waterford Jewellery stockists across the UK, and will also call upon potential new retailers to showcase Waterford’s new sterling silver collection.

“We believe Colette is the perfect person to represent Waterford jewellery in the UK,” comments Pearse Curran, managing director of Waterford Jewellery’s global distributor, Oscar Graves. “Her enthusiasm for style was immediate and her appreciation of quality was very much evident. Combining these attributes with a solid market knowledge of the regions made our decision an easy and enjoyable one.”

Curran continues: “The pace of the launch has been quite rapid. The reaction to the brand has been phenomenal. Retailers are welcoming Waterford with open arms. While style and quality are paramount to Waterford’s success there seems to be a real appetite for a brand with heritage and history included in the offering.”

The Waterford Jewellery team will be showcasing at International Jewellery London this week (Sept  3-5).

“I am really excited to be joining the Waterford Jewellery team,” adds Gibbons. “The collection has everything; beautiful designs, affordable retail pricing and a brand name that has over 200 years of heritage. People are instinctively attracted to the Waterford brand. The name instantly creates a feeling of trust, style and quality.”
