New Google search data has revealed the most searched-for engagement rings by UK users of the search engine.
Unsurprisingly, it is two royal rings that top the list, but the person in the number-one spot may come as a surprise to some.
While Kate Middleton comes in at second place, with an estimated 43,200 searches over the past year, it is Meghan Markle’s ring that is the more Googled piece.
The Duchess of Sussex’s trilogy ring, designed by Prince Harry, was searched for an estimated 52,800 times according to a study by Design Bundles.
The yellow gold, cushion cut sparkler – which features a three-carat centre diamond sourced from Botswana and two smaller diamonds from Princess Diana’s own collection – receives almost three times the average yearly searches for all rings on the list.
Elsewhere in the list, Arianna Grande matches Kate Middleton in joint-second place.
Kim Kardashian comes in at fourth place with just under 20,000 Google searches in the last year.
Her £2.9 million ring was given to her by soon-to-be ex-husband Kanye West.
Blake Lively and Princess Margaret are joint-fifth with 12,000.
Finally, Grace Kelly, Princess Beatrice, Beyoncé and Gwen Stefani round out the list.
